thank you so much for your advice!  i don’t want to be ridiculous and assume he’s after more than just friendship if he’s not.   i wouldn’t mind going out to dinner (if i paid for my own) but showing me his favorite spot in the city seems a little too…intimate?  i’ve had bad experiences in the past…even after making it clear i only want to be friends.  this is why i don’t date.  ;___;  good luck with your predicament!  some men just need to learn that persistence isn’t always the key to success.
